| We don't have all the stories compiled into a report yet, but, briefly: If we had given Peter Straub an official "name," it would be something like Peter "one-wheel drive" Straub. Peter managed to break two birfields and a rear axle all within about 30 minutes. This was about the same time that Jeff trashed is throw out bearing, Mark was going for a swim in a glacial crevass, Jack burned up his winch motor, Greg was trying to climb a moraine in two-wheel drive, and I was yet again sitting only on three good tires due to another slash in my tire. We are blaming "the boys" who drove up the glacier and carved into the glacier to retrieve ice for their coolers. They managed to really awaken and anger the glacier gods, and they certainly took out their wrath with vengence!! On the return trip, we gave the moraine a very, VERY wide birth, and, still, it managed to strike at Erin's starter. I believe the moraine was christened "Carnage Moraine." more coming soon...!. |
